Sonali Gardens is a purpose built sheltered housing service, located in the heart of Shadwell and very close to local amenities. Sonali Gardens Day Centre can be found next door. We are within easy reach of local bus, DLR and overground services.
Sonali Gardens has 30 one-bedroom flats and 10 two-bedrooms flats on three floors with lift access.
All flats have a double bedroom, lounge, Juliette balcony, kitchen, accessible shower and toilet, but come unfurnished to allow new residents to furnish to their own personal taste.
All the flats are spacious and have plenty of light. We do not have any ground floor flats.
Sonali Gardens has a range of communal facilities including:
- Three mobility standard bathrooms
- Gardens and courtyard
- Laundry room
- Two gardening plots
- Four lounges
- Kitchen
- Prayer room
- Guest room.
Care and support staff are on duty 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to meet the needs of the residents. Emergency call alarms are fitted in each flat. There is also security staff supporting the service in between 7 pm and 7 am.
Staff speak English, Bengali and other Asian languages.
